What is a Short Sale?
A short sale is when you sell you your home but you owe more than the house is worth. The goal is to get out of the debt and to get the deficiency waived. To accomplish this you need to negotiate with the banks to release the liens on your home and accept the money even though they are not getting paid in full.
Why do I need a lawyer for a short sale?
Short sales require negotiations with banks and the disclosure of sensitive financial information. Our lawyers will review the information to make sure you do not disclose anything to the bank that will make your situation worse. We are also experienced in dealing with banks and their attorneys. Don't rely on a real estate agent to handle your financial well-being.
