The Biden Administration took a big step forward in the battle against student debt by announcing the cancellation of student debt for 300,000 Americans with severe disabilities. For those that don't know the history behind student debt and the federal courts made up test that effectively prevents millions of otherwise qualified to liquidate the debt in bankruptcy. This move effectively erases over $5 billion dollars of bad debt and hopefully is another step in the direction of cancelling student debt for everyone. The cancellation of student debt is absolutely necessary to reinvigorate everyday Americans and is essential for the future financial well being of everyday consumers.
