Westlake Portfolio Management Takes Over for Out of Business U.S. Auto Sales

Posted by Sami Thalji | Jul 21, 2023

Customers of US Auto Sales woke up on May 22, 2023, to find that US Auto Sales is out of business and their accounts were transferred to Westlake Portfolio Management. We have been contacted by a number of consumers to let us know that Westlake Portfolio Management has contacted them regarding failure to make their May 2023 payment even though those payments were already paid to US Auto Sales prior to notice of the switch going out. If Westlake Portfolio Management is attempting to collect against you for a payment you made to US Auto Sales, you should do the following:

  1. Give Westlake Portfolio Management proof of the payment to US Auto Sales.
  2. Keep all correspondence (emails, letters, voicemails, etc.) between you and Westlake Portfolio Management.
  3. Take notes on all conversations between you and Westlake Portfolio Management.
  4. Save all collection notices from Westlake Portfolio Management.
  5. Check your TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian credit reports every 30 days for negative reporting by Westlake Portfolio Management.

If Westlake Portfolio Management threatens you with collections, repossession, or makes negative marks against your credit for payments made to US Auto Sales then call Florida Consumer Lawyers right away.
